Highlight of a two week stay in Bali

We spent two nights in a two bedroom bungalow here.

Strong points:

– Quiet, isolated and somewhat magical setting just 90 minutes from the main resort town
– Semi-open air bungalows strike the right balance between comfort and being in nature
– Well stocked library and many guided and self-guided activities on offer. Flute making and swimming underneath the on-site waterfall (!) both highly recommended
– Excellent, friendly service even by Balinese standards
– Breakfast (included), lunch and dinner all outstanding

No weak points as such, but be aware of the following:

– There are no dining options apart from the hotel restaurant, which is slightly (albeit not significantly) more expensive than you might be used to in Bali. That said, there is a very wide range of dishes to choose from, we were impressed by all meals and the marginally higher cost is probably mostly attributable to the food being organically sourced.
– You will be up close with nature and (in the case of the 2 bed bungalow where we stayed) with each other. The bathroom was semi-outdoors, accessed through one of the bedrooms and separated from the living area by a fairly low wall

This place was, overall, the best part of a 2 week Bali experience. I would highly recommend it and would very much like to return for a longer stay.

Truely Magical
This by far our most favourite place in Bali ! We’ve been there a few times over the years n can’t wait to get back there ! This gem is hidden away off the beaten track and will tickle all your senses ! The entire place is one natural wonderland complete with your own private waterfall. The staff is exceptional and will ensure that you are pampered all the way. They grow there own food n create amazing dishes buzzing with freshness…..if you are lucky enough you can learn a few tricks from the ladies in the kitchen !

The tranquility of this valley is something to behold off, you won’t hear any traffic noise and the usual intensity of Bali is replaced by meandering rice paddies and the sounds of nature. A truly rejuvenating place !
And as every time when we left we wished we would have had a few extra days !

Absolutely Amazing

My husband and I stayed at Bali Eco Stay for one night in October. The only thing I was upset about was not booking more nights at this magical place. Everything about Bali Eco Stay was wonderful; service, location, activities, food, accommodations. We stayed in the Spring Water Bungalow which was perfect for two. Since we were only there for a day we didn’t have time to do many of the activities on site. We did take a nice swim in the waterfall though and went on the Green Trail two hour trek with a lovely dog joining us as our guide. If you are traveling to Bali, I cannot recommend this place enough! It is perfect and you will not be disappointed. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Unforgettable Hotel surrounded by Nature

Bali Eco Stay is the most unique, beautiful and peaceful place in Bali. The luxurious rooms and the astonishing nature makes the stay a heaven on earth. We stayed three nights at this beautiful place and I almost cried when was time to leave. The rooms are beautiful chalets with an exquisite Balinese taste décor. The views and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing and at night you can hear the waterfall nearby. The hotel is fully integrated in the nature and you can tell that walking along the property. During the day you can take a stroll around the beautiful nature, take a Balinese cooking class which is a must during your stay or bathe at the waterfall nearby. The rice fields views are amazing. As well the property has Its own organic farm which you can visit and learn about local fruits and veggies. The food at the restaurant is delicious and for breakfast do not miss the Pancakes!!  Bali Eco stay has exceeded our expectations, truly a luxurious place in the nature perfect for relaxation.

A lush, natural setting that soothes the soul

My experience at Bali Eco Stay was unforgettable. From my bungalow, wide open to the surrounding vegetation and clean air, I could watch butterflies flit through the trees, hear birdsong and, at night, wake to the sound of a tropical rainstorm. There’s nothing like a nap in a gently swaying hammock on your deck. Fresh organic meals were prepared within sight of the guests and served by a consistently friendly staff. Hiking through the property provided encounters with the locals who invariably smiled and waved. The property doesn’t have a spa, per se, but you can book a variety of massages, conducted in a covered, open-air setting. I would recommend Bali Eco Stay to anyone looking for a natural alternative to more hectic travel sites and a refreshing change of pace. Note: Should my name show up as Saxon R, I am not the same Saxon R that wrote a previous review. He is my son and we actually stayed at Bali Eco stay at the same time.
